FDNY: 3 people hurt during Flatlands house fire

Officials said the fire broke out on the first floor of the two-story residence.

The FDNY said three people were sent to the hospital after a fire broke out in a Flatlands home Sunday afternoon.
Friends and family were seen consoling each other after the FDNY said two people were inside the home on 4545 Kings Highway at the time of the blaze.
Officials said the fire broke out on the first floor of the two-story residence.
Upon their arrival to the scene, authorities tended to who neighbors said was one woman and her young son who were inside the home.
Those two victims were transported to SIUH North Hospital.
The FDNY said that one firefighter was hospitalized as well.
