Neighbors in Concourse Village are back at home this morning after a retaining wall collapsed.
It happened Monday night on Findlay Avenue near East 166th Street.
FDNY officials say a 30-foot retaining wall came crumbling down, forcing them to evacuate five buildings in the area.
Crews worked quickly to make sure everything was structurally sound while tenants anxiously waited outside.
"So basically, it is a small space between our houses and apartments next-door and all of that in between fell down," says resident Daryn Del Los Santo. "The Red Cross is going to come they're going to let us know if it's safe to go back inside."
No word yet on what caused the collapse.
There were no injuries.
