A fire broke out Sunday in a residence hall of a yeshiva in
Kensington.
The blaze started just after 2:15 p.m. at the Louis and
Esther Hirsch residence hall of the Yeshiva Torah Vodaath on East 9th Street
near Cortelyou Road.
The building suffered considerable water damage. No injuries
were reported.
Police believe the fire was sparked by an electrical issue
in a storage room.
