The FDNY is battling a five-alarm fire in the Bronx.
They say the fire is at a junkyard, located at 528 Drake St. The FDNY has confirmed that it was a commercial fire and more than a dozen trucks responded to the scene on Monday.
They say the fire started at around 4:30 p.m. and a firefighter suffered a minor shoulder injury.
The FDNY says the fire is potentially suspicious because it’s a holiday weekend and it is unusual because businesses are usually closed.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The owner of the pallet company where the massive fire started tells News 12 no one was working when the incident happened.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
