Flames tear through Prospect Park South building, leaving dozens displaced

Dozens were forced out on to the streets this morning after flames tore through an apartment building in Prospect Park South.

Dozens were forced out on to the streets this morning after flames tore through an apartment building in Prospect Park South.
Crews rushed to the scene of 152 Parkside Ave. where flames broke out on the third floor.
Unfortunately, two people were hurt and rushed to the hospital. News 12 is told one of them is in serious condition, but both are expected to survive.
News 12 spoke to a woman who lives on the fourth floor who says she had no choice but to wait for firefighters and climb down on an FDNY ladder as the flames and smoke were blocking every exit but the window.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about an hour. The fire marshal’s office will determine the cause of the fire.v
