People nationwide who took the skies to celebrate this Fourth of July weekend faced numerous of flight cancellations and delays.
The incident occurred after hundreds of flight cancellations and delays were seen over the last few weeks. But on Sunday, on one of the busiest travel days of the season, hundreds of passengers at JFK had quite the wrench thrown into their travel plans.
While operations at JFK returned to normal, those passengers who were relocated from Terminal 4 were left to deal with the aftermath of missing their flights.
A News 12 crew looked at the itinerary boards inside JFK Airport on Sunday and saw that there were a handful of delays and flights with updated takeoff and landing times.
People who have yet to fly out are advised to plan ahead to give themselves extra time in the case their flights are canceled or delayed.
