Former City Council Member Fernando Cabrera is launching a political comeback in District 14.
He left his seat in 2021. After serving 12 years on the City Council, he says rising crime and housing costs pushed him to run again.
Cabrera says he’s focused on public safety, school funding and restoring hands-on leadership.
Since his departure from the City Council, Cabrera has served as the senior pastor of New Life Outreach International Church in the Bronx.
He’s also responding to past criticism over his socially conservative views on the LGBTQ+ community, saying he’s here to serve everyone.
