Former NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey and his lawyer are dismissing claims that he demanded sex from a subordinate.

Maddrey and his attorney Lambros Lambrou held a news conference Friday afternoon in Lower Manhattan.

Maddrey had been the NYPD’s highest-ranking uniformed officer. He suddenly resigned last week following sexual misconduct allegations from another member of the force.

Lt. Quathisha Epps is accusing Maddrey of coercing her into unwanted sexual favors in exchange for overtime. She also claims Maddrey retaliated when she refused his advances, including suspending her without pay.

Lambrou said Maddrey and Epps had a “consensual, adult relationship, well be it for a short time,” and claimed they have evidence including phone records and text messages.

“And X-rated and racy videos and photos from Lt. Epps, who is a self-professed swinger,” Lambrou said.

Maddrey spent 34 years with the NYPD. His attorney said he’s reached his boiling point.

“He’s going to take the gloves off and fight for his good name,” Lambrou said.

Maddrey himself did not step in front of the microphones nor did they take questions.

News 12 reached out to Epps’ attorney for comment but had not heard back as of Friday night.
