A former supervisor with the city's human resources administration has been sentenced to 23 months in prison for defrauding two public assistance programs.
The US attorney's office says 45-year-old Cherrise Watson-Jackson stole more than $1.8 million.
Watson-Jackson also faces three years of supervised release after pleading guilty in May to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
