Authorities are investigating a freight train derailment Wednesday in the Bronx.
It happened around 10 a.m. at the Oak Point Yard, located near Longwood and Garrison avenues in Hunts Point.
A CSX Transportation official says eight train cars came off the tracks; one of them was carrying lumber.
The derailment caused significant delays on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor line between Manhattan's Penn Station and New Rochelle, Westchester County.
Federal Railroad Administration officials are investigating the incident.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the derailment remains unclear.
