After a historic Norwood jewelry store closed down in December, its owner is endorsing a shop in Co-op City.
As News 12 previously reported, Freilich Jewelers closed down after 76 years in business. Owner Allan Freilich decided to retire when he had trouble renewing his lease.
Millie Clavell, a recognizable face from the historic shop, is now working at Studio Jewelers in the Bay Plaza Center Mall. She says her new job feels like home.
Clavell says the Freilich family plans to send a letter to former customers this week announcing the endorsement along with a $20 credit for Studio Jewelers.
