The Friends of Pelham Parkway group is making sure people are prepared and well protected from the coronavirus by giving away free masks.
Organizers say since the Bronx is one of the most affected boroughs during the pandemic, it's important people get the chance to have supplies to help keep them safe.
"We're here to distribute over 2,000 masks provided to us by Mayor de Blasio. These masks are great because not only do they keep us safe, they are environmentally friendly and reusable,” says Roxanne Delgado.

The group was located at Pelham Parkway North and Wallace Avenue near the rose garden while handing out the masks on Saturday morning.
