A free concert at Wingate Park paid tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, as well as a plethora of other musical genres.
Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, who hosts the event, said the concert was a celebration of summer – the Brooklyn way.
The free show featured various styles of music like reggae, R&B, soul, jazz and funk. Brooklyn's own three-time Grammy winning reggae band Morgan Heritage and R&B artist Leela James were just some of the artists who performed.
Ralph McDaniels' Video Music Box also paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop at the event.
The Wingate Concert Series has been around since the late 1970s and has featured iconic artists like Aretha Franklin and Wyclef Jean.
