Proposed legislation could make the sale of fur illegal in New York State.

Maria Reich, the CEO of Reich Furs, says her company’s livelihood depends on the legal sales of fur in New York,

"In my company, we use all different types of furs that are, of course, legal and traceable and sustainable. We use minks and sables and chinchillas, foxes,” says Reich.

Reich thinks it should be up to the individual and not the state when it comes to fur sales.

"If you don't want to wear fur, that's your choice. If you do, it should be your choice,” says Reich.
