Saturday is bringing some calm spring weather – and also a showcase of Garifuna culture to Bronx residents.
The big event is happening at The Haven on Home Street and will feature a pop-up shop and more.
The creator of the event, Carla Arzu, says it’s not just about bringing Garifuna entrepreneurs together, but other cultures to share and showcase their talents, businesses, and services they offer to the Bronx.
This marks the seventh year of the pop-up event and is a collaboration with Arzu Productions LLC and Honduran Rebel Entertainment. Arzu says over 90 entrepreneurs from here at home and places as far as Texas have served as vendors for the past six years.
The event will be at The Haven on Home Street from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
