Gov. Andrew Cuomo is set to officially retire.
He has filed his retirement papers ahead of his final day in office on Monday Aug. 23.
The state comptroller's office says his retirement will go into effect Sept. 1.
A spokesperson says Cuomo is classified as a tier four member of the state and local employees' retirement system with nearly 15 years' worth of unaudited serve credit.
Cuomo could receive a pension estimated to be in the $50,000 a year range.
