Gov. Cuomo, legislative leaders announce $212 billion budget deal

The spending plan includes a record $29.5 billion in school aid, as well as $2.1 billion for so-called excluded workers – undocumented essential workers who have been denied federal and state pandemic relief aid.

A budget deal has been reached in Albany.
The governor and legislative leaders announced a $212 billion fiscal plan for 2022.
The spending plan includes a record $29.5 billion in school aid, as well as $2.1 billion for so-called excluded workers – undocumented essential workers who have been denied federal and state pandemic relief aid.
According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office, the budget also includes a first-in-the-nation plan to make broadband internet affordable, and will legalize mobile sports betting and while implementing comprehensive nursing home reforms.
