Gov. Kathy Hochul expanded voting rights for New Yorkers with a new legislation.
Gov. Hochul signed a new bill Tuesday that is expected to improve the voting process, including registering and casting ballots.
She says every New Yorker will be able to vote early by mail, even on the same day they got registered. Gov. Hochul adds this will be especially helpful for busy voters who simply can't vote during normal hours.
There are also new school programs being planned to get kids pre-registered, so they are ready to vote the day they turn 18 years old.
