Kids around the city came together for a basketball tournament at Grenada Place in the Bronx on Saturday – a staple in the world of basketball for the last 10 years.
The tournament is an opportunity for youth to play in a free summer-long tournament.
"These kids don't get an opportunity to always do positive things in this community so to have someone and somewhere for them to go and play basketball…it’s necessary in this world," said parent Nicole Coleman.
The program is free for players, who are mostly boys ranging in age from elementary school to high school. To learn more about the program, click
