Rispoli said even on even on Super Bowl Sunday, grocery stores weren't as busy.
"Last year, I remember picking up so many wings, so many hamburgers, a lot of meat. Not this year," says Rispoli.
Many say they started buying in bulk before previous storms and were able to make it stretch.
"We do have plenty of water. We've got eggs and milk and the bare necessities," said John Vicente, especially when it comes to eggs. "We buy them at five dozen at a time in the big pack to save a little bit of money."
Some shoppers said they were purchasing egg alternatives ahead of the storm, like oatmeal or bananas.
