Headlines: Yorktown Heights fire, deadly car crash into reservoir, Tesla battery may be cause of fatal fire

Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Fire ripped through a home in Yorktown Heights on Sunday. Rescue crews responded to Midland Drive where they found flames shooting through the top of the home. Crews were able to knock down the fire in about a half hour.  There has been no reports of any injuries. It is unknown if anyone was inside at the time or if anyone was hurt.
One person has died following a car accident on the Sprain Brook Parkway. State police say the car was traveling in the southbound lane and ended up in the reservoir. There is no word yet on how the crash occurred.
A faulty battery may have been the cause of a fatal car fire on the Palisades Parkway. Police initially thought the crash was weather related, but Nanuet Fire Department investigators say the battery of the Tesla Model S ruptured. That battery spans the entire length and width of the car floor. Firefighters say the battery's size made it extremely difficult to put out the flames. The driver of the vehicle, Jyung Hahn, 46, from Cresskill, NJ, died in the crash.
