Health experts remind New Yorkers of services available as city sees slight COVID-19 uptick
The city says COVID-19 vaccines continue to remain free as well as testing at most city-run clinics.

New York City's Department of Health says there's currently a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
Experts are reminding families of the resources available to help them prevent and test for the virus as children head back to school.
While the Department of Health and Human Services declared the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency in May, the virus hasn't faded away just yet. As of last Thursday, the city reported 566 new cases in a 7-day span and 25 new hospitalizations.
Their latest data showed that the Bronx has the highest transmission level out of the five boroughs and Brooklyn has the lowest.

The city says COVID-19 vaccines continue to remain free as well as testing at most city-run clinics. They also say that access to oral anti-viral Paxlovid is free.
The health department adds people can still pick up free at-home test kits at libraries, museums and other sites throughout the five boroughs.
