Two high school sweethearts were found dead together Monday in a courtyard after plummeting six stories off a White Plains Road building.
A medical examiner determined Melissa Lopez, 19, and Michael Rodriguez, 21, died from the blunt impact of the fall. Investigators still don't know what brought the two to the roof in the first place.
A friend of the couple said a group of friends were hanging out in front of the building after dancing at Club Mohegan off Southern Boulevard.
Neither Lopez nor Rodriguez lived at the building on White Plains Road, but News 12 The Bronx found easy access to the roof - the front door was open and the roof-top entrance unlocked.
Friends think the couple got locked out once up top, tried using the fire escape to get down, but slipped and fell.
