Some of hip-hop music's pioneers put on a show at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts this weekend.
In collaboration with Sal Abbatiello, of Fever Records, the Center celebrated the 38th anniversary of the legendary South Bronx night club Disco Fever with the "Fever Re-Union Throwback Concert."
More than a dozen artists shared the stage, including Grandmaster Melle Mel, Sweet G, Curtis Blow, DJ Hollywood and The Fearless Four.
Abbatiello used to have artists perform at his own club before they had ever released records. This year, he says, he thought it was time to bring them all back together.
"This is the first big reunion, and brought it back to Lehman because Lehman is in the Bronx and I have a fever in the Bronx," he said.
