A restaurateur has found success in the Bronx two years after his Brooklyn business burned down.
Elias Ballinas, 37, is the owner of Elias' Cinco De Mayo restaurant on the Grand Concourse in Fordham.
He was the manager of his uncle's restaurant in Brooklyn when it was destroyed by fire in 2014, closing it for months.
Instead of waiting, Ballinas opened his own restaurant, fulfilling a dream he has had since moving to the U.S. from Mexico at 15 years old.
Ballinas says he plans on opening another restaurant next year.
