Whether you're staring at glowing storefronts or scrolling online, the holiday shopping rush is in full force.

But this season, it's not just about what people are buying - it's how they're buying it.

The Rivera's have a Build-a-Bear tradition, one that they've kept for all 10 grandkids.

"We've given all our grandchildren their first Build-a-Bear," says Luis Rivera

The couple says online ordering is convenient but they love in-store shopping.

"We've done both so it's nice when you come in store because you get the feelings of the holidays and stuff. But sometimes you need to do it online because there are so many people and the traffic."

Online ordering became a convenient option for shoppers, but George who works at Aéropostale says he's finally seeing masses of people at the mall again.

"There was a time and period where it was more online but I think it's switching over now," says George.

Due to the anticipation of more people, the Bay Plaza Mall extended its hours.

Starting Dec. 19, the Bay Plaza Mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. to accommodate all schedules.
