Hospital employee brutally attacked on her way to work; alleged attacker arrested

A BronxCare Health employee was attacked Wednesday on her way to work.
23-year-old Jeremiah White was arrested in connection to the attack of 46-year-old Virginia Alvarez, according to the NYPD.
Police say White was also arrested for attacking a 15-year-old girl early Wednesday morning.
News 12 spoke exclusively with Alvarez's mother.
"It's terrible what happened. She was getting ready to go to work!" her mother said.
News 12 obtained surveillance video of the attack, as well as Alvarez's injuries.
