With a three-day stretch of temperature highs in the 90s expected to start on Wednesday, New Yorkers are looking for ways to beat the heat.

According to the New York City Parks Department, cooling centers will only be open when temperatures are at 95 degrees or higher. Until those cooling centers open, residents are taking to their local pool, staying hydrated, wearing lighter and looser clothing, and more to stay safe.

News 12's Brittany Cadet spoke with Bronx residents at the Van Cortlandt Park pool on how they're looking to beat the heat.
