Authorities released surveillance footage of the suspect they say is wanted in the death of 61-year-old Tyrone Padilla.

Padilla was stabbed to death back on Jan. 5 inside of his apartment building at 2145 Creston Ave.

"I have seen that man in the corner," said Violeta Castro, Padilla's mother.

Castro says she found Tyrone on the second floor after an upstairs neighbor alerted her that he had been hurt. Castro says she held her son and pleaded for him to stay alive.

Padilla was stabbed multiple times before the suspect got away.

"This was a setup or something because there's no way nobody is going to do nothing in the building," said Joe Vaz, a cousin of Padilla.

Padilla's family is urging anyone who may have information that can help lead to an arrest to say something immediately.
