Three people are recovering after being shot in East Flatbush Tuesday night, police say.

Neighbors tell News 12 they believe one of the victims struck in the shooting was the intended target. They say they are worried that the other two might have been bystanders.

Police say one of the victims was a 16-year-old boy, another was a 17-year-old boy and a third was a 20-year-old man.

They are all expected to be OK and are recovering at a hospital.

Police say the youngest was shot in both legs, the 17-year-old suffered a graze to his cheek and the oldest was shot in the torso.

Police say that just after 7 p.m., all three victims were standing outside an apartment building on East 49th Street when shots fired from an unknown vehicle.
