John F. Kennedy International Airport faced a major power issue on Thursday, as international flights that left from Terminal 1 at the airport faced major disruptions.
The airport accommodated travelers who had plans to leave on their international flights from Terminal 1 and moved them to other terminals. Sources said the New York Port Authority worked to restore power.
According to
the airport's website, some arriving international flights were diverted to other airports along the East Coast, creating more travel woes for airline flyers.
