A state Supreme Court judge has signed an order temporarily banning the state Office of Cannabis Management from awarding any new licenses in the state.
The action comes soon after four veterans filed a lawsuit against the state OCM. The lawsuit claims that the state prioritized licenses for those with prior cannabis convictions over other minority groups, including disabled veterans. The veterans claim that this violates state law.
A further decision from the court can be expected when the lawsuit proceeds. A hearing is scheduled for Friday.
