Kids and some adults in Fairfield enjoyed the day off from school with some sledding and a snowman contest.

The annual Frosty Fest Snowman Building Contest is held by Fairfield Parks and Recreation.

Kids in town are asked to build a snowman, snow sculpture or any snow creation and email a picture to Fairfield Parks and Recreation.

Best in snow top prize could earn a $250 credit to Fairfield Parks and Recreation.

Best Classic Snowman could win a $100 Fairfield Love Local e-gift card!

Submissions must be made by 3 p.m. March 1.
