Community leaders joined residents Saturday to rally against NYCHA's "most hazardous" developments and bring attention to workers who aren't getting hired.
They stood outside the Sotomayor Houses to call attention to what they say are dangerous lighting conditions, sub-par standard repair work and to call for a federal investigation into the city's Section 3 non-compliance violations.
NYCHA residents, who have a host of complaints pertaining to serious issues that are affecting their health and safety while living in their development, were also present to talk about mold and rat infestations in their homes that they say are being overlooked.
Community advocate Tony Herbert says there will be a rally next Sunday with the workers and NYCHA residents at Gracie Mansion after numerous attempts to get a response.
