Lehman College has signed an agreement to partner with eight universities in Mexico.

The agreement was signed Thursday at Lehman College.

School officials say the agreement will unite the CUNY school system and universities in Mexico through a partnership.

"I look forward to ensuring that this program that we're putting in place can be all that it can be," Jose Luis Cruz, the college president says.

The partnership is intended to advance the understandings of how the academic systems work in both the United States and Mexico, but to also strengthen the links and the bonds between the universities, Cruz says.
