The LIRR says it will have crews out de-icing the third rail and switches to keep the trains moving as snow continues to fall across Long Island.
The railroad also says commuters should be careful on station staircases and platforms.
Riders are also being told to check the LIRR Train Time app.
Meanwhile, NICE bus is also warning that because of the weather, there may be delays, detours and route cancellations.
