Pepe Joe's Pizzeria went up in flames due to a fire caused by an e-bike a year ago.

The owner was able to rebuild and reopen, thanks to the community.

He's now repaying his neighborhood by offering free pizza.

"Last year, that was a very difficult time. When I saw my business burnt down, that was my job, that was support. My life changed," said Sylvestre Caamano, owner of Pepe Joe's. "From the time we opened the business, everybody came to support. I feel great, I say thank you very much to everybody. Thank you, God. I have a blessing."

Caamano has been serving Bronx residents for over 25 years and took the time on Tuesday to hand out dozens of free slices to students and their families. He says it's the least he can do for a community that showed out for his longstanding business.
