Long Island Ducks sold to Texas-based group
The Ducks were purchased by REV Entertainment, the official sports and entertainment company of the Texas Rangers.

The LI Ducks will no longer be a Long Island-owned baseball business.
Frank Boulton, the Ducks' founding owner, sold the team to REV Entertainment, the sport and entertainment group of the MLB's Texas Rangers.
Boulton told News12 the Ducks are committed to Long Island and will not relocate.
"We are not going anywhere," said Boulton and added the Ducks will remain part of the Atlantic League.
Boulton said he's had offers to sell the Ducks for years.
Boulton said the time has come to do it because he's 75 years old and wants to ensure the legacy he built with the Ducks will continue.
He said REV Entertainment shares his vision "for the next 25 years on Long Island." Boulton will remain on as an advisor to REV Entertainment.

REV Entertainment owns other teams in MLB Partner Leagues, including the American Association of Professional Baseball (Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars —the 2024 & 2025 League Champions), the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (Long Island Ducks) and the Frontier League (Schaumburg Boomers).
Mike Pfaff will remain the Ducks president, and Boulton said there will not be any front office changes.
"I am grateful to the fans, friends, sponsors and entire Long Island community for their support for 25 incredible seasons of Ducks baseball and am confident it will only get better as we enter the next 25!" said Boulton in a statement.
