The Joseph Lucchese Funeral Home, located on Morris Park Avenue, is closing its doors.

A Facebook post announcing the closure went out on Friday. The post cited a recent vandalism incident as the reason behind the decision.

“I see it as a service to the community, we’re all going to need the service at some point, so it is a loss to the community," said Yahay Obeid, a Van Nest resident.

The NYPD and FDNY were unable to confirm an incident happening at the address. News 12 left multiple messages for the owners and have not heard back.
