JetBlue's nonstop flights to Florida from Long Island's MacArthur Airport begin

According to the airport, JetBlue will operate daily service between the Islip airport and Orlando and four times weekly between Islip, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach.

Long Islanders can now fly out of Long Island MacArthur Airport with JetBlue.
Long Islanders boarded the first JetBlue flight from MacArthur Airport to Orlando, Florida on Thursday afternoon.
“I am so proud of my home airport. It's really a huge day in our history," said Anthony Mangiero, of Lake Ronkonkoma.
Mangiero wanted to be part of the historic day.
“I am taking the inaugural JetBlue flight out of Islip," he said. "I always take inaugural flights; it's what I love to do.”
