Parents of Immaculate Conception School students are demanding increased police patrols following a nearby machete attack.
They complain of fights, drugs and an overall lack of security. Parents also say that just last month, a child from another school fell victim to a machete attack outside.
More recently, a priest says he found men selling drugs and shooting up on the steps of a nearby church.
Community members say they've passed around a petition for increased security in the neighborhood.
Parents say cameras and a speaker system aren't sufficient protection. They want an increased police presence both during the day and at night.
