Major makeover for basketball courts at Castle Hill Houses funded by money seized by NYPD

A major makeover for the basketball courts at the Castle Hill Houses is all thanks to funding from money seized by the NYPD.
It’s the latest basketball court to get a makeover thanks to the NYPD and various other organizations.
The funding for the new courts is coming from money seized during law enforcement operations.
“This is just one piece of that. Can we work that out with kids can we offer career opportunities can we work with them as explorers and create opportunities? People talk about the pipeline the prison pipeline we want to create a pipeline of opportunity and we think this is part of it,” said NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea.
This is the 14th new basketball court they’ve opened up across the city, with more to come.
