Bronx residents flocked to the Mall at Bay Plaza for some holiday sales.

According to Forbes, the Fourth of July is when retailers clear out their spring and summer merchandise to make room for back-to-school items so shoppers should expect sales on outdoor gear and beach wear.

Customers at the mall said that a couple of hours of shopping was a great appetizer to their Fourth of July barbecues.

For those who couldn’t make it out to the mall, similar deals will be available online.
