547ds agoPolice arrested a man for arson Friday in connection to a fire in Canarsie that sent two people to the hospital.
The fire occurred Thursday night around 11 p.m. along East 98th Street. Police believe the fire was intentionally set.
A 69-year-old man was taken to Brookdale Hospital, and a 32-year-old woman was taken to Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center - both for smoke inhalation.
The two people are said to be in stable condition.
Police took 27-year-old Melbourne Greene into custody. Greene is facing a charge of second-degree arson.
