Police say a 40-year-old man was found dead aboard a 1 train in Fieldston Wednesday.

Officers discovered the man unconscious and unresponsive aboard a northbound train at the Van Cortlandt Street subway station just after 11:30 a.m.

EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police do not suspect foul play at this time, stating the man didn’t have any visible wounds.

The man’s identity has not been released, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
