A man recreated the famous disco in "Saturday Night Fever" for the movie's 40th anniversary Wednesday.
The iconic film was released in December of 1977.
Gianluca Mech put on the event at the original location of the 2001 Space Odyssey Nightclub in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The location is now a Chinese restaurant.
Mech, who is from Italy, says he spent more than $200,000 on the event because he has always wanted to be Tony Manero, the movie's main character.
The event featured a light-up dance floor, disco balls, original cast members, Lenny's Pizza and The Trammps' classic "Disco Inferno" playing in the background.
A $500 cash prize was also offered for the night's best dancer.
