A man is in the hospital after surviving being shot at near point-blank range in Hunts Point.
According to police, surveillance video shows the gunman run up to the victim and shoot him multiple times in front of a bodega on Coster Street, near Spofford Avenue, Wednesday morning.
The 24-year-old man was standing with a group of people, but no one else was injured. He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he's listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a black man with facial hair. He was wearing a gray, sleeveless hooded sweatshirt, gray jogging shorts and white sneakers. He fled the scene in a dark-colored Sedan.
There is no word yet on a motive for the shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
