Police responded to an early morning stabbing in Castle Hill.

Officers say they went to the intersection of Randall Avenue and White Plains Road after a 911 call around 2:30 a.m.

Police found a 39-year-old man in the area unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to his back and lower abdomen.

The New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers tells News 12 that man is Osei Kusi from Ghana.

They say he started driving taxis in 2019 to support his family back home.

The Federation of Taxi Drivers says he went to a charging station for his car around 1 a.m. and was on his way home when a fight broke out with someone in another car.

Both people got out of their cars and that's when the stabbing took place where he was left on the ground.

While bleeding out he managed to call his friend who then called the police and once they got there, he was unconscious and unresponsive.

He was transported to the hospital and is now in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The NYSFTD is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who comes forward with information that can lead to an arrest.
