A man stabbed on a 4 train late last night is recovering, the NYPD says.
Police were called to the 149th St Grand Concourse station at 10:49 p.m. Monday. That's where they found a 26-year-old man stabbed in the torso. He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he's expected to recover.
Police sources say the victim was stabbed with a sharp weapon and it's unclear if the two knew each other - but there was an argument before the attack.
This isn't the first time we've reported a stabbing at this train station. Back in January more than 700 additional officers were deployed to stations across the city. Just a week after, a 25-year-old man was stabbed on a 5 train at the 140th Street Grand Concourse station.
Despite these attacks, Gov. Kathy Hochul recently announced that transit crime systemwide fell to record lows this summer. In The Bronx, transit crime is actually down more than 12%.
