Man wanted for beating another man with baseball bat in Mount Hope

The NYPD is asking the public’s help to find a man who is wanted in a baseball bat assault that happened Friday in Mount Hope.

Police say a 31-year-old male was in front of 111 East 175 St. when he became engaged in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual.

The individual then struck the victim in the face multiple times with a baseball bat, causing severe fractures to the victim's face and head.

The individual then fled on foot.

EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
